Sustainability at Nucleus
Sustainability is at the heart of our strategy and vision 'to help make retirement more rewarding’ and we aim to do so in a commercial, ethical, and sustainable way.
What does sustainability mean for Nucleus?
“Sustainability means creating a successful business for the long-term, whilst recognising our role as a responsible corporate citizen.
Running our business in a sustainable way has a positive impact on our communities, employees, and the planet and goes hand in hand with delivering long term shareholder value.”
Richard Rowney, CEO

The B-Corp inspired sustainability framework we've implemented covers:
Governance
Strong governance underpins our approach to sustainability. Through dedicated steering and working groups, supported by senior leadership, we embed sustainability into everyday business activities, monitor progress against our ambitions, and ensure accountability across all areas of the organisation.
Community
We seek to make a positive difference in the communities where we live and work. Through charitable giving, volunteering, sponsorship, and our charitable foundation, we support initiatives that create lasting social and environmental impact.
Our energy journey
We recognise we have a duty to help address climate change and minimise our environmental impact.
Therefore, we've set ourselves an ambition to reach net zero emissions as soon as possible.
In 2025 we moved to a new carbon reporting platform called Greenly. Greenly has helped us fully understand our environmental impact so we can set effective decarbonisation targets.
Our Climate-Related Financial Disclosure document outlines our progress.
